Sergio Bloch, Director Sergio Bloch directs and produces documentaries and fiction films and has received awards in festivals throughout Brazil and abroad. His debut film, Donkey Without a Tail (1997), won the Best First Film Award at the Mumbai International Film Festival for Animation and Documentary, India. In 2001, he co-directed Tainá: An Amazon Adventure, which received Best Film by the Popular Jury at the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival; First Prize at the Children’s Film Festival of Cologne, Germany; Best Film Award at the Vienna Film Festival, Austria; and the First Prize, Children’s Jury at the Children’s Film Festival of Augsburg, Germany. His 2001 documentary On the Street screened at IDFA in Holland, the Bilan du Film Ethnographique in France and the Global Vision Film Festival in Canada.
