KERA and The Council on American-Islamic Relations present an advance screening of the PBS series, "THE NEW AMERICANS." The screening will feature an episode about a Palestinian immigrant and a segment from "The Islam Project" followed by a discussion. The event, which includes box dinner, is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Please call 214/871-1390 to reserve seats. KQED Community Outreach partnered with ChevronTexaco's Bay Area Diversity Council to create the ChevronTexaco/KQED Diversity Film Festival. This 90-minute workshop uses clips from THE NEW AMERICANS to raise awareness on issues of immigration and first generation Americans. The Film Festival and workshop is being presented at nine ChevronTexaco sites: five in California and four in Houston, Texas. These workshops are open to Chevron employees.
