OVEE Producer (3-6 Months)

SAN FRANCISCO - Help produce live, interactive events on the social media platform OVEE.


Summary: OVEE Producer

The person in this role will work closely with the Senior Director of Engagement and Impact in Business Development to expand aspects of the platform and demonstrate its value to public media and beyond. In particular, they will produce high profile live interactive TV events; cultivate, train, and support new and existing partners; and create customer support tools including training videos and FAQ’s. As part of the Engagement and Impact team, responsibilities will include working with a cross functional team to develop and implement a growth strategy for public media's leading social TV platform OVEE. This job is an opportunity to be involved in building a unique social TV platform that will fuel the power of media to engage, educate, and connect communities.


Essential Functions

  • Plan, produce, and moderate OVEE events in order to develop proof of concept use cases to forward the goals of the engagement and impact team. 

  • Provide training and coaching support to new platform partners. 

  • Conduct platform demos for potential new partners.

  • Act as production lead for engagement related video production efforts and special projects. 

  • Plan and create customer support tools i.e.  webinars, videos, FAQ’s in coordination with the creative services and marketing teams. 

  • Work with Director of Engagement and Impact and Director of Station relations to develop-growth strategy for public media partners.

  • Work with Director of Engagement and Impact to ensure goals of OVEE annual plan are tracked and met. 

  • Work cross-departmentally to cultivate and secure new partnerships.

  • Document and track use cases to advance business development’s strategic goals.

  • Gather data, analyze, and report on OVEE events to support formative learning, marketing, and sales outcomes. 

  • Collect user experience feedback for product development, customer support solutions, and sales.

  • Keep track of industry updates and changes that could affect the functionality of OVEE. 

  • Maintain OVEE on our social media platform pages: Facebook, Youtube and Vimeo.

  • Manage production schedule for remote/freelance OVEE producers.

  • Lead screening meetings in partnership with the Digital Event Producer.

  • Provide weekly update on work status

  • Work with PBS station partners to host, develop and produce on the ground events that are also streamed on OVEE. 

  • Maintain and develop client and partner relationships through the use of OVEE. 

  • Act as a representative of the OVEE platform to build cross departmental use and support of the tool.

  • Act as advisor and support in company-wide and industry-wide initiatives such as Stories of Justice, Providers and other campaigns, 

  • Traveling and representing OVEE while at public events, conferences and while at PBS stations. 

  • Maintain a television and film quality event production level for all self produced events, while training clients to host events that match in quality. 

  • Build partnerships between PBS stations, national partners, for targeted OVEE screenings. 

  • Work cross-departmentally to fulfill contractual, creative, and video needs for screening events. 

  • Maintain OVEE calendar for internal and external communications. 

  • Support diverse filmmaker pipelines with a nurturing approach to relationship building at national events across the nation. Familiarity with live event production included but not limited to: audio, lighting, run of show, camera operation, production software, youtube creator studio, adobe premiere, and adobe photoshop. 

  • Other duties may be assigned on an as-needed basis.
