Happy New Year all! Independent Lens is diving head first into the 2011 season with the hilarious documentary Men Who Swim, airing this Tuesday at 10 PM (check local listings.) The film, by director Dylan Williams, follows a group of middle-aged men in Stockholm who find unlikely fellowship as members of Sweden’s all-male synchronized swim team. What began as a weekly escape from the daily grind of work and family responsibilities gradually evolved into a more serious commitment.
