Global Voices Returns on Sunday with

ITVS and the WORLD Channel present the 4th season of the International Documentary Series Global Voices on Sunday, May 1 with the documentary The film examines Egypt’s last round of elections, prior to the historic protests in 2011.


On Monday, ITVS announced the lineup for the fourth season of Global Voices, which will air exclusively on the WORLD Channel.

The 26-week series offers American audiences rare insights into the lives of people in Egypt, Japan, Belarus, Cuba, Liberia, and Brazil — providing a global perspective and diverse viewpoints about the world community. The season opens this Sunday, May 1 with the timely rebroadcast of Shayfeen.comThe documentary, by filmmaker Sherief Elkatsha, takes an intimate look at the 2005 multiparty elections in Egypt through the eyes of three women working to ensure the election’s legitimacy.
