Waiting for the Revolution, Sunday on Global Voices

This week, Global Voices brings you Waiting for the Revolution by filmmaker Rodrigo Vazquez. The documentary airs Sunday, August 19 on the WORLD Channel.

 

For over 500 years, the indigenous people of the Andes have had to endure racism and discrimination. Now, with democracy on their side, the time has come for a change. Following two newly elected indigenous leaders from the campaign trail to their first year in office, filmmaker Rodrigo Vasquez journeys into the heart of the democratic revolution in Bolivia. Waiting for the Revolution will air as part of the Global Voices series on the WORLD Channel, Sunday, August 19 at 10 p.m. (check local listings). Starting August 20, the documentary will be available to view in entirety online via PBS Video (for a limited time only).
