District Attorney of San Joaquin Valley, California and Conservative Republican Tori Salazar felt there was little room for dialogue across party lines about criminal justice reform when in the height of California's covid outbreak she found unlikely allies in a couple of progressive Democrat prosecutors. She formed the Prosecutor’s Alliance, a group of progressive prosecutors championing criminal justice reform. SALAZAR is the story of a dynamic prosecutor who finds a beacon of hope for dialogue in divisive times.

Emily Cohen Ibañez is a Latinx filmmaker with Colombian and Syrian Jewish heritage. She was a Fulbright Scholar based in Colombia and earned her doctorate in Anthropology with a certificate in Culture and Media at New York University. Her directorial feature documentary debut, Fruits of Labor premiered at SXSW 2021.
