ITVS Hosts 25th Anniversary Lunch with Filmmaking Alum at Sundance Film Festival

SAN FRANCISCO – ITVS, leading supporter of independent filmmakers, will celebrate its 25th anniversary at a luncheon during this year’s Sundance Festival. ITVS has spent the last 25 years focused on the importance of diversity in filmmaking; and has committed the organization’s next phase to being a change agent. ITVS-funded filmmaking alums have gone on to incredibly successful careers, and include among so many others Abigail E. Disney and Stanley Nelson; and is widely known for its award-winning curated series, Independent Lens.

Three ITVS-funded films NEWTOWN, TRAPPED and MAYA ANGELOU AND STILL I RISE are being screened at Sundance Film Festival. Film directors, Kim A. Snyder, Dawn Porter, and Bob Hercules and Rita Coburn Whack, of NEWTOWN, TRAPPED and MAYA ANGELOU AND STILL I RISE respectively, will attend.
