Independent Lens Debuts with The Parking Lot Movie

Though lacking any sense of ambition, somehow, you know they’ll eventually rule the world. Take an anthropological safari into a strange little pocket of this species’ natural habitat — a parking lot near the campus of the University of Virginia — in The Parking Lot Movie, premiering Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 10 PM on PBS (check local listings).
The Parking Lot Movie, a cult-favorite by director Meghan Eckman, is the long-awaited season premiere for Independent Lens. This season, hosted by America Ferrera, features some top-notch indie films that have been or are now seducing film festival crowds across the country.
