Power to the Poets: Connect, Comment, and Collaborate

A written- and spoken-word adventure, Power Poetry is the world’s first mobile poetry community for youth, a one-of-a-kind place where words become powerful through media and technology.

Inspired by the documentary, To Be Heard, PowerPoetry.org is a place for poets to share their work, comment, and collaborate. Power Poetry isn’t just about poetry. It is about using poetry as a tool — a weapon — for personal change and social engagement. It is absolutely one-of-a-kind, a place where you will get to mix your words with different media and technology. Share your work with other poets around the country and the world! Poets can also participate in online mobile Poetry Slams connected to social issues such as civil rights, bullying, HIV-awareness and more.
