Peter Bratt is an award-winning screenwriter and independent filmmaker. His film credits include Follow Me Home, La Mission, and he co-wrote and directed Dolores, a feature documentary about the life of activist and community organizer Dolores Huerta, which premiered on Independent Lens in 2018. He’s a Norman Lear Writer’s Award recipient and only one of ten American filmmakers selected by Sundance and the President’s Committee on Arts and Humanities to launch Sundance Film Forward. His extensive experience includes working with the International Indian Treaty Council, Amazon Watch, Friendship House Association of American Indians, H.O.M.I.E.S., and Instituto Familiar De La Raza.
Linda Wei, the chief content officer for Alaska Public Media since 2019, joined the ITVS’ Board of Directors this July. She is the co-founder of Executive Content Managers and a board member of Public Media Content Collective. Her 20+ years of public media experience began at Louisiana Public Broadcasting and continued in Nashville where she was the director of digital strategies at Nashville Public Television (NPT). At NPT, Linda was recognized with three Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards and two NETA awards for her work as a creator and producer. She is a member of the PBS Executive Leadership inaugural class, co-chair for the PBS Programming Advisory Council, and treasurer for Women’s Power League of Alaska.
“It’s my honor to welcome two powerful leaders to the ITVS Board of Directors. For over 30 years, ITVS has partnered with filmmakers to bring bold, untold stories to public media, serving communities across the country,” said ITVS Board Chair Garry Denny. “Peter and Linda bring deep knowledge, connections and contributions in the filmmaking and public media worlds that will help our organization to thrive for decades to come.”
