What payment methods do you accept?
Through our donation form, powered by the GiveButter platform, we accept:
- All major credit and debit cards

- Checks (offline)
- Stock and securities (via our separate transfer instructions)

Is my donation secure?
Yes. GiveButter uses encrypted, PCI-compliant payment technology to ensure all transactions are safe and secure.
Will I receive a receipt?
Yes. GiveButter sends an automatic email receipt immediately after your online donation is processed. Receipts for mailed checks, stock gifts, and DAF contributions are issued once processed.
Can I donate internationally?
Yes. International donors can give online using a credit card or PayPal. We can also provide wire-transfer instructions upon request.
Are there any fees deducted from my donation?
Yes and no. GiveButter may deduct small transaction fees. At checkout, you can opt to cover these small fees so your full intended gift goes directly to ITVS. This small step helps ensure more of your support reaches independent filmmakers and public-media storytelling.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. ITVS is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

When will I receive my tax receipt?
A tax-deductible receipt is emailed immediately after your online donation. Receipts for offline gifts are sent within 5-10 business days of processing.
Can I get a year-end summary of all my donations?
Yes. Contact us and we will provide a consolidated annual giving summary for your records.

What is the minimum donation amount?
Through GiveButter, ITVS has set a $20 minimum for contributions made through our current campaigns.
Can I make a recurring donation?
Yes. You can set up monthly, quarterly, or annual recurring gifts directly through our GiveButter form.
Do you accept in-kind donations (goods or services)?
In some cases, yes. Please reach out to discuss potential in-kind contributions at donate@itvs.org.
Can I donate stock or securities?
Yes. ITVS accepts gifts of stock, mutual funds, and other securities. Contact our development team at donate@itvs.org for transfer instructions.
How do I include ITVS in my will or estate planning?
We welcome legacy gifts of any size. Contact our development team at donate@itvs.org to receive sample bequest language and coordinate with your advisor.
How will my donation be used?
Your support enables ITVS to fund independent filmmakers, develop and distribute groundbreaking documentaries, and bring diverse, community-centered stories to public media audiences nationwide.
Can I donate in honor or memory of someone?
Yes. You can dedicate your gift during checkout on GiveButter, and we can notify the honoree or their family upon request. If you weren’t able to submit the honoree information during checkout or need to make an update, just let us know—we’re happy to add or adjust it for you. How do I update my contact information?
Reply to your donation receipt email or contact our development team at donate@itvs.org with updated information at any time.
Can I change or cancel a recurring donation?
Yes. Contact our development team at donate@itvs.org to update, pause, or cancel recurring gifts.
Does ITVS accept corporate donations or sponsorships?
Yes. ITVS welcomes corporate gifts, grants, and mission-aligned sponsorships.
Do you have a matching gift program?
ITVS does not operate its own program, but we gratefully accept employer-matched donations through sites (e.g. Benevity).
How do I know if my employer matches gifts?
