The Film

Gambling is one of the fastest growing industries in the U.S. Every year, increasing numbers of Americans flock to casinos, bet on the lottery, and wager at off-track betting arenas and on the internet. One Last Bet looks at three lives devastated by compulsive gambling, and examines the emotional crap shoot of living an addicted life racked by secrets, psychological violence, and denial. Interviews with treatment professionals shed light on the causes of gambling addiction and the difficulties of recovery.
