The Film
Focusing on two landmark booksellers: Cody's and Kepler's Books, Paperback Dreams is the story of the rise and fall of the independent bookstore. Each were central to the paperback revolution of the 1950s and '60s and gave intellectual life in America an unprecedented populist bent. Today, both stores are struggling to remain vital in our information saturated age.
