The documentary by filmmaker Aaron Matthews is streaming free until Sunday, September 4 as part of ITVS's Indies Showcase.

 

Pete O'Neal founded the Kansas City chapter of the Black Panthers before leaving America for Tanzania, where he has lived in exile for over 30 years. As he struggles to reconcile his future and the past, O'Neal has committed his life to global activism and community service.  A Panther In Africa explores the life of a violent 1960s radical long after the moment for revolution has passed.
