This Year’s TCA Was All About Elmo

The documentary Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey was a hit at last weekend’s TCA Press Tour in Los Angeles. The film explains the fascination behind Elmo’s creator Kevin Clash and begins its theatrical run this October. The film will also air on Independent Lens in April 2012. 

The hyper-cuddly Elmo was on hand at the Beverly Hilton to take photos with (and hug) fans. The legendary Muppet also fielded questions from PBS’s Facebook page, which had been crowd-sourced ahead of time. See below…

  

And finally the man behind the Muppet, Elmo creator Kevin Clash also took questions from his social media fans. Clash, who is at the center of Being Elmo, discussed his most unusual request for performing the beloved Muppet….

  

Keep an eye out for Being Elmo, coming to theaters this October and then to Independent Lens in April 2012.
