Virgin America Offers ITVS International Films In-flight
ITVS International has taken flight—literally. Virgin America, which currently flies to nine U.S. cities, is offering SOLO, an ITVS International film. SOLO recounts Andrew McAuley’s brave journey as he attempted to cross 1,000 miles of one of the wildest and loveliest stretches of the Southern Ocean from Australia to New Zealand by kayak. ITVS International and Virgin America have partnered to release even more ITVS International films this year on Virgin America’s interactive, in-flight entertainment system, RED. These films will be available on demand on all of Virgin America flights.
Coming soon on Virgin America: YOUNG YAKUZA When a troubled young man rejects school, jobs and family, his desperate mother decides to take one last chance to save him—by handing him over to the Japanese mafia for one year and letting him choose his own path. BRIDGE OVER THE WADI In Israel, for the first time, a group of Arab and Jewish parents decide to establish a bi-national, bi-lingual grade school in the Wadi Ara village. BRIDGE OVER THE WADI follows the school's first year and shows how fragile the attempt is to create an environment of co-existence against the backdrop of the complicated reality of the film's subjects. THE FIGHTING SPIRIT Three young boxers from Bukom, Ghana try to navigate the glittering prizefighting rings of Europe and North America through triumph and defeat.Topics
