Waste Land Nominated for Academy Award
The nominations for the 83rd annual Academy Awards were announced Tuesday morning from the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Los Angeles. Among the nominees for best documentary feature was Lucy Walker's Waste Land, which premiers this April on Independent Lens.
The other films nominated for best documentary feature include: Exit through the Gift Shop, directed by Banksy (Paranoid Pictures) Gasland, directed by Josh Fox (Gasland Productions, LLC) Inside Job, directed by Charles Ferguson (Representational Pictures) Restrepo, directed by Tim Hetherington and Sebastian Junger (Outpost Films) Find more information on today's Oscar announcements.
