Alissa Figueroa is a Baltimore-based journalist, filmmaker, and lecturer at Morgan State University. Her first documentary, Prison Kids, won a half-dozen prizes, was nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy Award, and was a finalist for the Livingston Award. Her second, Rigged, was recognized with the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award.
