Pamoja is Swahili for "coming together." In the summer of 1996, Denver's Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Company — long a fixture on the international dance scene — hosted three dance troupes from Kenya. This cultural exchange was an exchange was an emotional, thought-provoking, and illuminating demonstration of the varied and irrepressible languages of dance. More importantly, it reminds us not of our differences but all we have in common.
