Seeds is a visual and cultural exploration of centennial farmers in the southern U.S. This film examines the decline of generational Black farmers and the significance of owning land.
Director/ Producer
Brittany Shyne is an independent filmmaker working on Seeds, her first feature documentary. She is an alumni of the 2021 (Egg)celerator Lab cohort and is a Firelight Media Fellow 2020-2022. Shyne received her MFA in Documentary Media from Northwestern University and a BFA in Motion Pictures from Wright State University.
Producer
Danielle Varga is a nonfiction producer. She most recently produced Bulletproof directed by Todd Chandler, who won the Hot Docs Award for Best Emerging International Filmmaker. She produced Brett Story’s critically acclaimed documentary The Hottest August and co-produced Kirsten Johnson's award-winning and Oscar-shortlisted film Cameraperson.

Sabrina Schmidt Gordon is an award-winning filmmaker & impact strategist who has distinguished herself as a producer, editor, and director. Career honors include the Dear Producer Award for excellence in independent filmmaking, Reel Sisters Trailblazer Award, Women at Sundance Fellowship, and membership to the Academy (AMPAS).
